Executive Director
Ms. Sima Bahous became UN Women’s third Executive Director on 30 September 2021. A champion for women and girls, gender equality, and youth empowerment, as well as a keen advocate for quality education, poverty alleviation, and inclusive governance, Ms. Bahous brings to the position more than 35 years of leadership experience at the grassroots, national, regional, and international levels.
Directora Regional
Bibiana Aido Almagro se incorporó a ONU Mujeres como directora regional para las Américas y el Caribe en septiembre de 2025. Previamente, Bibiana fue Representante de ONU Mujeres en Colombia desde 2021. Antes de eso, ocupó varias responsabilidades en ONU Mujeres, incluyendo Representante de País en Ecuador (2017-2021), asesora de Programas para las Américas y el Caribe (2013-2017) y asesora especial de la Directora Ejecutiva (2011-2013) en Nueva York. Además, fue nombrada Sherpa de la CSW66 y CSW67 en 2022 y 2023.
Representante en Chile
Alma Pérez Gómez se desempeña como Asesora Regional en Paz, Seguridad y Acción Humanitaria en la Oficina Regional de ONU Mujeres para América Latina y el Caribe desde febrero de 2017. En este rol, apoya a los gobiernos de la región en el avance de la agenda de Mujeres, Paz y Seguridad, consolidación de la paz, movilidad humana, así como respuesta humanitaria y a emergencias.
