CSW71 – Expert group meeting
UN Women convened a virtual expert group meeting, “Gender equality, the empowerment of all women and girls and their human rights across the Sustainable Development Goals: Assessing progress towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda”, from 30 June to 2 July 2026 in preparation for the seventy-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
The meeting focused on assessing what difference the 2030 Agenda has made on the ground for gender equality, the empowerment of all women and girls and their human rights; identifying the policies, institutions, processes and partnerships that have enabled or hindered progress; and drawing forward-looking lessons for accelerating implementation to 2030 and shaping a more ambitious post-2030 framework.
